FRACTIONAL CMO FOR ADVISORY FIRMS

A fractional CMO who's sat in the advisor's chair.

I'm Simona Ondrejkova, CFP® — a former financial advisor who now leads marketing strategy for growth-focused RIAs and advisory firms. You built your practice by serving clients, not writing content calendars. That part is my job.

THE PATTERN

Why your marketing spend isn't producing clients

After years inside advisory firms — first as an advisor, then leading their marketing — I see the same three gaps at almost every firm that's "doing marketing" but not growing from it.

01

Traffic with no funnel

Impressions climb, rankings improve — and the phone stays quiet. Without a path from attention to conversation, marketing is a report, not a result.

02

Everyone is the audience

When a firm won't choose who it's for, its message is for no one. Focused positioning isn't narrowing your firm — it's sequencing your growth.

03

Vendors, but no strategy layer

Your SEO firm, ad agency, and content people each optimize their own lane. Nobody owns the question that matters: what should all of this add up to?

HOW I WORK

You run the practice and keep your clients happy.
I'll run the marketing to grow your business to the next level.

Senior marketing leadership without the full-time hire — for established firms that are serious about growth. Two ways we can work together:

Fractional CMO

For $1B+ AUM advisory firms already investing in marketing — with no one leading it

You have the execution covered: in-house marketers, agencies, real budget. What's missing is the leadership and strategy layer. I join your team part-time and own the strategy, direction, and accountability that turn all that spend into growth.

  • Marketing strategy tied to your firm's growth goals

  • Direction and accountability for your in-house team and vendors

  • A defined audience, message, and client-acquisition funnel

  • One senior owner for every marketing decision

  • Reporting on outcomes, not activity

Marketing Advisory

For firms with a team that needs senior direction

Your marketing has hands — it needs a head. I advise your team or in-house marketer on strategy, positioning, and priorities on a lighter cadence.

  • Quarterly marketing strategy and roadmap

  • Monthly advisory session with your team

  • Review of campaigns, positioning, and spend

  • On-call judgment when decisions come up

ABOUT

I've sat on your side of the table

Before I ever crafted a marketing plan, I spent years as a financial advisor, crafting financial plans. I earned the CFP® certification and still keep it current. So when I moved into marketing, I wasn't studying your world from the outside; I'd lived in it.

Since then, I've been helping other financial advisors grow — building the search visibility, content engines, and messaging behind firms ranging from independent RIAs to billion-dollar, acquisition-driven practices. I've turned unfocused websites into client-facing positioning, and helped firms show up where their next clients are actually looking — including, now, AI search. That's why large advisory teams trust me with something they'd never hand a generic agency: the strategy and leadership of their marketing.

Today I serve as the fractional marketing leader for a small number of growth-focused advisory firms, and teach financial advisors about marketing and AI search visibility.

If you have real growth ambitions for your firm, I'd love to help you get there — while you stay focused on the work only you can do.
